An important measure of down quality is loft, or fill power, which is the amount of space one ounce of down fills. This is important because down insulation comes from trapped air and lofting is what creates trapped air. Yves Delorme uses only pure mature large Hungarian goose down clusters which maximizes air retained between fibers, keeping you warmer with less weight. (Small down clusters have poor loft and tend to collapse after a few years.)
